Client Responsibility
It is The Client’s responsibility to inform the Company in writing, before paying the deposit, of any potential issues such as but not limited to medical conditions (e.g. asthma), Covid symptoms, allergies, disabilities and/or sensitivities. The Company cannot be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the Client if the Client has not informed the Company of any known condition(s) as stated above, or of any conditions unknown to the Client at the time of the service.
The Client is aware that at no point does the Supplier hold itself out to be a Beautician or a Dermatologist and accepts no liability in respect of any assumption in this respect.
Please note that everyone’s skin is different and it is possible to be allergic to anything. During a make-up lesson Jane Mather is only using and recommending products that she has used personally and/or has used on her Clients and has found them to be good and that they achieve the desired outcome. The Company advises that the Client should obtain a sample and test the product out on themselves wherever possible.
For a Make-up Lesson or Personal Colour Consultation The Client will be asked to arrive to the consultation with no make-up on, this is to ensure that The Company can see the true tone / colour of The Client’s skin. It’s The Client’s responsibility to ensure that this request is adhered to.
The Company (and/or Jane Mather) reserve the right to cancel the Agreement if the behaviour of The Client is deemed inappropriate and/or if The Client reports a condition that the Company (and/or Jane Mather) deem a risk to Jane Mather’s health and well-being. In these cases the deposit paid by The Client is non-refundable.
Prior to a Make-up Lesson, The Client will be expected to complete a medical/allergies disclaimer. If any allergies/sensitivities/medical conditions are noted then The Company has the right to refuse to provide the service or to only apply The Client’s make-up using their own make-up products.
Prior to any face-to-face consultation the Company will send through (on email) a link to their Covid policy. This policy will be under constant review to reflect the Government’s guidelines at that particular time of the consultation. It’s The Client’s responsibility to inform the Company immediately if they’re showing any Covid symptoms.
Company Responsibility
Photos will be taken at the consultation. These photos will be kept on The Client's file and will only be used for The Company's marketing purposes with the written consent of The Client.
The Company will provide these service(s) in good faith and will perform the service(s) with reasonable skill and care. The Company cannot be held responsible for any subsequent loss that The Client might suffer due to their understanding of the advice being given and any subsequent action that they might take. Either party’s liability arising directly out of its obligations under this Agreement and every applicable part of it shall be limited in aggregate to The Fee.
The Company will always endeavour to honour the Agreement to the best of its ability.
There may be circumstances beyond the control of The Company where Jane Mather is unwell, delayed or otherwise unavailable, sometimes at short notice. In such a case The Company will inform The Client at its earliest convenience and endeavour to make favourable alternative arrangements if appropriate.
The Company reserves the right to offer The Client compensation in the event that The Client is unhappy with the service received. This is entirely dependent on the circumstances and will be discussed openly and honestly with The Client. Should this be deemed necessary the compensation will be limited to the final Fee value.
In conjunction with these Terms and Conditions The Company's Privacy and Covid Policies should also be read.
