3 Product Empties: From Kerastase, Bourjois and Nars. Would I repurchase?

I thought I would try something different this month, as I get asked a lot about what products I’d recommend, and share with you three products that I’ve purchased myself, completely used and let you into a little secret as to whether I’d repurchase, or not! Obviously these reviews are based on my personal experience with using the products, given my particular skin type ( - which in the main is more dehydrated).

First up is the Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant shampoo by Kerastase. At around £20 for a 250ml bottle of shampoo it’s not cheap!… but in my opinion you get what you pay for and I’ve already purchased my next bottle. It’s a beautiful shampoo: cleans the hair really well; a little of the product goes a long way and my hair looks and feels healthier.

It claims to be, “specially formulated for those that suffer from weak hair, the Kérastase Genesis Bain Hydra-Fortifiant Shampoo helps to strengthen your strands for a healthier appearance. Working to prevent breakage and falling, locks will seem smoother and fuller with up to 80.9% fewer strands being broken and lost. Added Ginger Root, Aquaxyl and Edelweiss Native Cells help to gently cleanse away dirt and build ups whilst encouraging fibres to resist physical damage and tearing.” Taken from the Look Fantastic website.

I would certainly agree that my hair feels smoother and fuller. So, for someone like me, with fine hair that has a tendency to be slightly fly-away, this can only be good news!

Bourjois Healthy Mix 16H Foundation
After reading many reviews I had high hopes for this foundation and was particularly excited by the drug store price point but I was not impressed, so much so that I didn’t even finish the bottle! As it is, this is a brand that you can no longer get in the UK, so let’s move swiftly on!

Nars Powder Blusher in Orgasm
This is a definite ‘buy again’ from me! Maybe not straight away, as I have several other blushers that I’m currently trialling (on behalf of my clients, of course!) but it’ll continue to feature in both my personal and professional kit.

It’s an iconic product for Nars, no doubt due to the pinky/peachy colour being universally flattering and suited to those with a ‘cool’ or ‘warm’ toned skin. It glides on beautifully, adding a wash of colour or can be built up for more intensity.
