This month I was delighted to be asked to be part of this panel of experts and provide my opinion on... "How do I achieve that beautiful, radiant glow to my skin that supermodels seem to have. I'm getting married in winter but really want to look beautiful and healthy - any tips?"
My view is...
"During the chilly months the harsh weather outside and the dry, hot central heating takes its toll on the skin – with less moisture in the air the effect is very drying, creating a dull-looking complexion. A good skin care routine (cleansing, toning and moisturising, with regular exfoliation) is especially important during this time of year. Pay special attention to the every-day moisturiser that you use and ensure it contains a high SPF to help provide extra protection against the elements. On your wedding day use an illuminating moisturiser, I particularly like MAC’s Strobe Cream which boosts the look of dull skin with iridescent particles. A contributing factor to lack-lustre skin is being dehydrated. You need to be drinking plenty of water all year round to stay hydrated and to help aid the renewal of skin cells. A good quality primer is great for helping to improve the appearance of your skin. For that special occasion try using one of Laura Mercier’s – it’s pricey but a great investment."
