According to research cited in the Harvard Business Review, it takes less than 150 milliseconds to form a first impression!
On Tuesday, 7th February Ten2Two Sussex, specialists in professional flexible and part-time work, held an enjoyable and inspiring Confidence Workshop for 40 ladies looking to get back to work after a career break. The workshop focused on building delegates confidence and self-esteem, so that they were fully prepared for their next job interview.
I was delighted to be asked, by Emma Cleary (Director of Ten2Two Sussex), to present at this workshop on the topic of "Dressing To Impress". My presentation focused on gaining confidence through knowing how to create a positive professional image - an image that creates a powerful first impression, is authentic to you and memorable for all the right reasons!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the event and also listening to the presentations given by the following personal development coaches: Hilary Lees, Lisa Westbury and Hilary Ellis.
A group of ladies together can be so inspiring and this workshop was no exception! The energy, laughter, sharing of ideas and support for each other was really wonderful to see and I believe everyone left feeling ready to tackle what-ever career challenges lie ahead for them.
If you are looking for a supportive recruitment agency, one that has your interests at heart, then I would recommend contacting Emma and her team... and if you are looking for support in how to go about creating your own positive professional image then please do get in touch.
