Today I am pleased to be welcoming my first guest blogger: Anita Black, Beauty Therapist and owner of Options Beauty Salon. Anita and I first met at a networking event in Edenbridge, where I was presenting on How to Master your Personal Brand, and I have since had the pleasure of visiting Anita's salon - a little haven of tranquillity in Edenbridge.
Anita lives and breathes all things skin-related, so I was delighted when she agreed to share her knowledge on how to get your skin in perfect condition ready for your wedding day.
I have recently moved house and was so thankful for the afternoon that I spent, before the packers arrived, detoxing my own wardrobe (- something I normally do for clients). Not only did I end up with a lot more space in my wardrobe but I felt a huge sense of relief at having re-organised my clothes, which means that I now know what items I must (!) purchase to revamp my capsual wardrobe.
My next dilemma was what to do with the bags of unwanted clothes that I had. Obviously taking them to charity shops was an option but I then came across H&M’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme and having mentioned it to friends, thinking it was just me who had missed this news flash it seems it is not. So I thought I would take this opportunity to spread the word about what I think is a good idea, especially if you love H&M clothes, which I know many of my clients do…!
My first wedding of 2015 was Polly and Chris's in the beautiful southern coastal town of Rye. In February of this year Polly and Chris got married at The Town Hall and then meandered down the cobbled streets with their friends and family back to the beautiful venue that is The George in Rye.
Last year I got to be part of Rachel's wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst. I was very excited about the whole affair, as it was being held at a venue that I had heard a lot about and this was going to be my first time of seeing it first hand... and the makeup look that we finally chose for Rachel was stunning and more distinctive than a lot of brides go for but as I think you will agree, she looked amazing!
On meeting Katy for her makeup trial back in August last year and hearing all about her vision for her special day and seeing the images of the type of makeup style that she wanted, I knew that the overall effect on Katy's wedding day was going to be one of elegance, intimacy and full of rich colour.
Welcome to 2015, Happy New Year!
After many trials and tribulations and countless hours spent in front of the computer I can finally say "my blog is launched!" Yay!!
I hope you enjoy reading my first blog post, I would love to hear what you think...
